6 Ways To Use The Law of Attraction To Build Your Life Your Way
When the wildly successful movie, The Secret, appeared, millions of people around the planet were exposed to ideas that have been in human consciousness for thousands of years. The movie beautifully explains a universal and eternal principle named the Law of Attraction which simply means using our intentions create, or bring into physical existence, the conditions that we desire in our lives. Still, there’s no doubt that everything you want won’t miraculously appear overnight, so here are six ways to speed up your Law of Attraction results.
1. There Is No Such Thing As ‘Something For Nothing’
It might sound contradictory, but the more you give, the more you will receive. You might be mentally protesting, thinking “But I’m desperate for money so I don’t have any to give away!” It’s not necessary that your giving be financial. A simple act of kindness might make another person’s day. Holding the door and offering a friendly smile to someone on crutches, doing a favor for your next door neighbor or complimenting your co-worker on her new dress are all generous acts that add to the lives of others. We all have something of value to give to the world and we can never know how much our actions might add to someone’s life.
2. Receiving Can Be Tough!
Most of us are taught not to be “selfish”, not to be greedy or expect too much. We live in a cooperative world and we can’t survive, much less thrive, without the help of others. The food we eat and the clothes we wear on our bodies are produced by others and becoming wealthy or finding and maintaining satisfying relationships requires decency towards our fellow humans.
Ruthlessly trampling the desires of others will not move us towards our goals – but neither will destroying our own needs and wants for the sake of others. There is a delicate balancing act between giving and receiving.
3. Decide That You Deserve All Good Things
A feeling of worthiness is not a gift from the heavens. It’s an attitude that can only be chosen by each one of us. You, and you alone, are the final arbiter of your worthiness and you deserve the delicious bounties of life simply because you are alive. There is no other way this can work. You are worthy just because you decide to be.
4. Surround Yourself With Symbols Of Your Goals
If you wish to manifest something into your life, start introducing it now, today. This doesn’t mean that if you want an expensive sports car that you should rush to the dealership this afternoon and take on a crushing debt so that you can drive off the lot with your new toy. No matter what you want, though, you can bring reminders into your daily life. For instance, one woman who wanted a new home acquired a piece of lumber and she pounded a nail part of the way through the board and kept that piece of wood in a prominent place. When I was attempting to manifest my current home I bought an elegant ginger jar that I wanted on my bathroom counter. The jar definitely preceded the counter that I now use every morning.
5. Use Affirmations Constantly
Affirmations are highly personal statements that you repeat again and again about what you are trying to manifest. Many people misunderstand affirmations and believe that they’re an attempt to influence the universe. But they’re about YOU and aligning your energies behind your goals so that you have no doubts or conflicts. The classic way to change our minds – and keep them changed – is through repetition so an affirmation like “I am committed to creating wealth” will, over time, dramatically affect your thinking in a positive way.
6. The Most Powerful Force Of All: Gratitude
Nothing in the universe is as powerful and life-changing as gratitude. If you constantly find reasons to be grateful the universe will shower you with more and more. Your vibration will become one of joy as you notice your blessings – and there are always so many – and this raised vibration increases your energy flow. The power of gratitude is simply and easily proven in your life by simple experimentation. At any moment when you feel miserable and unhappy, simply choose to notice a simple thing that is wonderful in your life. It doesn’t have to be earth-shattering.
